Time to blog again.  It has been almost a year, and I realized that blogging had become a chore instead of a joyful sharing time.  With the new year, I began to read the blogs I had been faithfully following for a few years, and realized that I missed the creative energy of sharing with others in this fashion.  With my first foray back into the blogosphere, I thought I would keep it simple with a Zentangles page from my "Walls Notebook".  These are all tangles from the book "The Joy of Zentangle".  My friend loaned me the book, and I wanted to document my faves.

What creative endeavors do you do during the "down" months of winter?  I'm definitely open for ideas!

  1. Hi Kate, Haven't been here in a long time! We have for the last few years been downsizing, but missing the art world and this winter I drew whimsical manikin people with conversations....it all started when I bought a small wooden manikin for my grand daughter! I could just sit in my chair with my mixed media book and copics and doodle them away....had fun playing with the colors of the copics (new to me) and it really satisfied me for a while! Now I am painting a 16x20 of orphans in Ethiopia, also not a face painter, but giving it a whirl for a silent auction at church....will post it when done! I miss the old days with classes from DJ Pettit and with Mystele!! God Bless!!

I want to do some serious art or really fun art soooo bad!! Collage is still a passion....oh!! I also did a journal out of an appointment book for this year adding art pages to it...it was on Roben Marie's blog.....have fun!!
